I have interned across the Investment Solutions Team, Volatility Research team and Systematic Global Macro team and recieved an offer to return as a Quantitative Researcher!
My wondrous crash into finance! I had a great time learning and developing tools for the Risk team at Tudor.
I also got a chance to meet Paul Tudor Jones II and sit in an investor call which was an incredibly insightful experience.
This was a good run; I started as a front end developer, until we realised we needed more than just me to bring out a whole platform to host start-ups! I had a really great time helping to host quite a few events and interview even more entrepreneurs to put together a comprehensive set of educational videos/events for start-ups.
I spent a year at Bloomberg in the Economics team within Global Data. I honestly feel blessed to have worked with wonderful people at every step of my career and this is no exception.
As my first real job it took a while to get used to the workflow of my team, but overtime I made my mark as a productive employee and was even offered a full time role at the end of it! (My african parents did not seem so keen on me skipping university though aha)

I'm doing a good job now, but I've realised that I'd like to be truly world class in something; this may mean taking time to get a PhD and refine my skills OR it may mean working somewhere whilst refining my skills... This likely depends on which companies would like to hire me!
Here are some of the things I do outside of work:
I will finish with a cool picture of me attempting to intimidate the government into action:
